Research Themes
We are interested in stochastic search and optimization algorithms, which are often population based and typically derivative-free. We investigate aspects like local convergence, global search properties, noise in the objective function, adaptivity.
Recent Activities
We are currently organizing the
Black-Box Optimization Benchmarking BBOB workshop at
GECCO 2012 .
Applications
We are always interested in good candidates for internship, master thesis, or PhD. Please send an application to Anne DOT Auger AT inria DOT fr. A few internship topics are available
here.

We organized the 4th Workshop on Theory of Randomized Search Heuristics
ThRaSH'2010 on March 24 and 25, 2010 in Paris. We also co-organized the GECCO workshop on benchmarking of continuous black-box optimization algorithms
BBOB 2010 in 2010 and 2009 and the GECCO workshop entitled
Theoretical Aspects of Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization in 2010.
